Also, in case you didn't know, Cid has been in all the Final Fantasy games. But he is not the same person every time...

Edea is obviously the evil force in this game. Not too much is known about her now, but she seems to come from a powerful family of witches and she also appears in a "witch parade" during the game. She is believed to be behind the malevolent intentions Galbadia has made against the world (declared war). In the attack against Dollet and the takeover of their satellite system, Galbadia's president made an official announcement of their declaration of war against the world. Seifer is often seen with her, so I suspect they are cooking up a plan...

Therefore, she looks on Squall as her enemy.

He is a meaty big man. He has beads on his chest and has a club in his hand. He seems to be poor at thinking deeply and is sometimes deceived or made use of.
