Finding the Phonix

While there is NO Phoenix GF, there is an item that when used hurts the enemy big time and heals your party. In this walkthrough you will learn how to get the Phoenix, and it isn't that easy.

On the northeast portion of the world map lies the Shumi village. It looks like a huge dome from the outside but deep below its a huge geo front. When you get there a Shumi resident that is working on a statue of Laguna will ask you for five elemental stones. First make sure you talk to all the people there including the village elder. Then its time to find all the stones. Yes they are all in the village and this is the order that they can be found. (It is believed you can only find one at a time so as you find them bring them to the Shumi that needs them.) The first one is right behind the statue. The second is right by the Shumi hotel near the big rock. The third one is outside the elders house on the where the tree roots are Squall will climb up to get it. The forth is outside the elevator to the right. (Take the elevator to the top. Its the opposite side of the ultima draw point.) The last stone is tricky because there is a fake one. You still have to get it though. Its right by the pond where the frog is, but when you bring it back he will say it's not good enough. The real stone is located right at his nextdoor neighbors house all the way in the back to the left. After finding the stones go to the elders house and talk to them. As you leave they will give you the phoenix. Now make sure you save because when you use these up, that's it, they are all gone. Save them for the last boss because when your people die in the last battle they are gone. The phoenix will not only cause damage to the boss but when anybody dies they'll get right back up.
